SUNDAY SESSIONS AND A WELCOME

Our Sunday competitions have been nega;vely impacted by the weather over the last few weeks. Our members have, however, shown surprising resilience with 16 hardy (perhaps better described as foolhardy) players battling the elements last Sunday.

This intrepid band included two of our new members, David and Gillian, who along with Daniela, Sue and Conrad have recently joined the Club. A warm welcome to all of you.

MONTHLY MELEE

As men;oned in our August newsleKer, melees will be held on the first Monday of each month. Our next one, the Mini Mars Monday Melee, will be on Monday 7 September. You only need to win one game to be in the draw to win a cash prize so come along for a “rewarding” game.

TRAINING SESSIONS

Our long-standing training guru, Graeme McDowell, has been hard at work manufacturing training equipment from various discards. These will be used at future training sessions.

Graeme will offer a lobbing session on Thursday 10 September beginning at 12 noon. It would be helpful if Graeme knows how many to expect, so please let Sharyn know if you will be attending.

BICHENO’S CRAY BOULE CARNIVAL - 17 & 18 OCTOBER

We have a large contingent of players who have already booked to take part in the annual visit to play petanque in the Cray Boule Carnival at Bicheno on 17 & 18 October. There is still time to add your name to the list. Please make sure that you RSVP by 25 September to Bicheno Petanque Club secretary, Rachel Etges.

This is always a fun event, so do think about coming along and enjoying a great weekend with the added bonus of supporting the locals.
