Pétanque Australia Interstate Challenge

The Interstate Challenge was held at Prospect Petanque
Club in Adelaide on the 13th and 14th of September, with a
total of 10 teams competing. Over the two days, each team
played every other team in one of three disciplines – mixed
triples, gender triples and mixed doubles.
The team was competing against highly credentialed players, including the current national shooting champion, the national mixed doubles champions and the women’s doubles
champions, as well as a number of players who have previously represented Australia in international competitions.
Overall, we finished with 8 wins and ranked 8th ahead of a Victorian and a NSW team. It was fantastic to see how competitive our players can be.

The Tasmanian team consisted of four male players: Peter
Webb, Rob Farrington, Sean Vinar, and Eric Hartill,
And three female players: Jenny Webb, Terri Branson, and Jenni Mandesloot. Judy Whiteaker was coach/manager and
female reserve.
